Tour of Duty:  8:15 am - 4:45 pm, Mondays - Fridays

Duration of Appointment: Management Supervisory Services (MSS) Appointment (At Will). All positions and appointments in the MSS serve at the pleasure of the appointing authority and may be terminated at any time with or without cause.

Duties

Brief Description of Duties: The incumbent will serve as the Deputy Director for Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA).  The Deputy Director for RSA is responsible for leading, planning, administering and directing a comprehensive program designed to provide for needs assessment, development and implementation of state plans, provision of resource allocations development of programs priorities and vocational rehabilitation services to residents of the District with physical and mental disabilities that lead to employment, self sufficiency and or independence. Determines eligibility for federal social security disability programs.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements: Applicant must have a degree in any related disciplines appropriate to the position.  OR Combination of education-experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. OR Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.

Desired Education:  A Master's degree in any related fields in an accredited college or university.

Desired Experience: Five (5) years of experience in managing in a large government or private organization.
