These links are to other websites that list scholarships or provide financial aid information. These other sites may focus on specific disabilities or on students living in certain states or attending certain universities. Others focus on scholarships for Latinos, or for minorities in general.

Look at these sites and also look at our scholarship opportunities page, which has specific scholarships you can apply for, with updated links and application deadline information.


Hispanic Scholarship Fund

The Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF) is the nation's leading organization supporting Hispanic higher education. HSF's vision is to strengthen the country by advancing college education among Hispanic Americans. In support of its mission to double the rate of Hispanics earning college degrees, HSF provides the Latino community more college scholarships and educational outreach support than any other organization in the country. During the 2006-2007 academic year, HSF awarded nearly 4,200 scholarships exceeding $26.5 million. In its 32-year history, HSF has awarded more than 82,000 scholarships worth more than $221 million to Latinos from all 50 states, Puerto Rico, Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands attending nearly 2,000 colleges and universities. HSF has dozens of scholarships for high school students, community college students, college students, and graduate students.  Check out their scholarship programs on their website.

 

Hispanic College Fund

The Hispanic College Fund (HCF) provides talented and underprivileged Hispanic youth with vision, mentors, resources and scholarships. We are passionate about our mission to develop the next generation of Hispanic professionals and it's our partnerships with business, government and foundations that are making their success a reality. 152 Scholarships for Minorities

The University of North Carolina in Charlotte Center for Mathematics, Science, and Technology Education Pre-College Program has a list of 152 scholarships for minorities.

 

Black Excel List of Scholarship for Minorities

This 200 Free Scholarship List is created by Black Excel, and it's our latest. We have featured over 1,000+ scholarships at our website. Remember that most groups provide scholarships on an annual basis, so don't stress yourself over any one particular deadline. Students are advised to target "good" scholarship sources...and apply every year.

 

Scholarships for Hispanics

Scholarships for Hispanics provides its Hispanic Scholarship Directory as a free resource for students looking for scholarships. It lists more than 1000 scholarships.

 

Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU)

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities has a long list of scholarships for Latinos. Their website also has information about educational workshops, links to fellowship opportunities, internships, etc.

 

The Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI)

CHCI has information about many national and regional scholarships for Latinos.  The regional scholarships listed are for students attending certain colleges or who live in certain localities.

 

Scholarships for Migrant Farm workers or Their Children
The College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) offers scholarships to students who are migrant or seasonal farm workers and/or whose families work in agricultural activities directly related to the production of crops, dairy products, poultry or livestock, the cultivation or harvesting of trees, or fish farms. Applicants must plan to obtain a four-year degree (BS/BA) at a CAMP campus. Over 2,700 scholarships of up to $5,000 are awarded every year. Lists of scholarships at state universities:

These major public institutions have created lists of scholarships available to students with disabilities. They include scholarships available to disabled students nationwide and also have scholarships only available to students in their states. Even if you do not live in these states or attend these universities, they may have information that can help you.

 

National Council for Support of Disability Issues

The National Council for Support of Disability Issues has a good list of scholarships and financial aid information for students with disabilities. See http://www.ncsd.org/scholar/scholarship.htm for more information.

 

Creating Options 2007: Financial Aid for Individuals with Disabilities

This PDF document provides a basic introduction to the financial aid process for students with disabilities. It includes information about federal aid programs, including grant applications, federal disability programs through the Social Security Administration, and private scholarships. It also has a list of books and resources that can provide additional information.

 

Sources of Financial Assistance For Students Who Are Deaf or Hard of Hearing

This listing focuses on specific sources of financial assistance for deaf and hard of hearing students and for hearing students whose career goals include service to people who are deaf or hard of hearing. In a few cases, scholarship resources are mentioned in both the HEATH publication and with the Clerc Center’s Publications and Information Dissemination office. All scholarship items listed are annotated. Many of the sources now have a Web site, e-mail addresses, or both so that readers can get access to the most current information on application deadlines and requirements, amounts of financial assistance, and scholarships.

Hemophilia Federation of America

The Hemophilia Federation of America has a list of scholarships available to people with bleeding disorders.

 

LA Kelley Communications Scholarships for People with Bleeding Disorders

This is an updated list of scholarships for people with Von Willebrand disease (vWd), hemophilia, and other bleeding disorders. Numerous scholarships are listed worth between $500 and $7500.
